Gems of Opportunity: Environmental Group Concept: "Landfill Combers"

Hello All,

Many of us may know of those volunteers such as school groups or otherwise that clean beaches and other coastal waters of discarded trash. So as to help the local environment recover and heal whenever possible.

What I'm recommending is a twist on such an environmental group organization that already exists for coastal water ways. To have something similar to those in 3rd world nations that are impoverished that look for salvage from landfills. In this case, however, to have trained volunteers wearing protective equipment. Which can consist of leather industrial gloves, surgical plastic visors, and masks so as not to become contaminated on-site.

Such volunteers will be looking for all recyclable goods that still ended up in the trash landfill. Including secondary items such as discarded electronics that will not have the chance to leech any dangerous chemicals back into the landfill environment.

These volunteers can be from an environmental group or those required to fulfill community service hours due to some misdemeanor offense. Of course, such a non-profit group will need to work through the proper channels. So as to obtain municipal permissions so as to conduct their recovery work for the environment itself.

Although it will never be the unrealistic goal for such a group to reclaim everything that is in a discarded landfill. That can be salvaged be it: paper goods, glass, plastics, metals such as aluminum. But to be a last chance crew of volunteers to salvage what otherwise would be lost in the recycling process for a city or county municipality.

Sci-Fi Movie Concept: "The Garden of Eden Discovered"

From time to time I enjoy indulging myself with concepts related to the entertainment media. This concept entry is no different where by I'll be delving into a science-fiction movie platform that is borderline Biblical and Meta-Physical in nature.

As explained below here is the summary abstract for such a movie:

In the later 21st century both technologists and theologians will seek out the entrance to "The Garden of Eden" from the Torah, Bible, and the Quran. (including Apocrypha writings) Where according to the Biblical "Book of Genesis" chapter two it is guarded by Angels.

Leading such an expedition will be a biblical archaeologist in the same vein of "Indiana Jones", but with a Sci-Fi Twist. Secondary expedition members can consist of a comic-sidekick, brainy technologist, and a trusted loyal friend. (Similar to the away team formula used in the Star Gate SG-1 Tv series)

The Garden of Eden was / is at the mouth / source (base) of 4 rivers. That being the Euphrates, Tigris, Pison, and Gabon which the latter two rivers have long since disappeared. However according to a satellite in Geo-Synchronous Orbit the dried out river canals of the Pison and Gabon rivers will be discovered. (The History Channel recently televised on their cable Tv series "Decoding The Past". The discovery of the rivers of Pison & Gabon from a decommissioned CIA satellite Image)

Placing the "Garden of Eden" what is today in the "Persian Gulf". Similar to how the Mediterranean Ocean was formed by the collapse of a mountain ridge line bordering a large ocean. Causing a Tsunami effect and infilling a basin in a matter of Hours if not Days.

The intrepid explorers will first search by land in and around what was Ancient Babylon (modern day Iraq). All the while looking for clues leading them through out past known sites and ones yet undiscovered. Where finally they discover that the entrance to the "Garden of Eden" is within the "Persian Gulf" itself. In the depths underwater seeking a dimensional gateway guarded by Angels.

During the course of the movie plot line we'll discover more character background to our hero. The Biblical archaeologist was a former Vatican Priest where he left the Priesthood due to his obsession of locating the "Garden of Eden". His purpose is in finding the "Tree of Life" fabled to have been within the "Garden of Eden". His reason isn't his alone but driven by desperation led by the one remaining world government in the latter 21st century. Humanity is near extinction due to a global pandemic threatening not only humanity but all animal, flora, insect creatures on Earth itself.

The "Tree of Life" would be the universal cure all to all ailments plagued by mortality. Once the expedition discovers the underwater dimension gateway to the "Garden of Eden". Thus the hero must pass the virtuous test similar to the pursuit of "The Holy Grail". That only the "Pure of Heart" may pass, but will they ever return? Due to the fact of encountering a Physical landscape that would be the equivalent of Heaven on Earth. There is also the meta-physical and ethical struggle of unleashing the "Tree of Life" serum on the world. Making everything from Humans, animals, insects, and flora Immortal.

What will be the outcome?

This sci-fi movie proposal would be excellent if broken up into a trilogy series. Creating a epic tale similar to J.R.R. Tolkeins "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy shot in New Zealand. Actually New Zealand can be the emphasis of the "Garden of Eden" within the movie. Where Ancient Babylon can be shot in present day Iraq offering much needed revenue to their current country.

Water Conservation Concept: Water Utility Companies Use Switches For Lawn & Landscape Usages For Drought Areas.

(Sorry, about the mouthful concept title but there was no apt nifty title that has sprung to mind thus far.)

This concept of mine could possibly be implemented already if not just develop a switch to be installed at water utility sub-stations.

What this water utility switch can do is conserve water during water restriction hours. By a local county drought guidelines such as those in my home State of Florida. Since my home address ends in an "Odd" number than my water restriction day is on Thursday before 8:00am EST and after 6:00pm EST.

In order for water conservation purposes instead of hitting local residents and commercial businesses with water penalty fines. When they are using water during peak hours, whether by ignorance to the drought guidelines or in total disregard to them.

To have local water utility companies turn off the water tap for residential lawn and commercial landscape usage. During the aforementioned drought water restrictions imposed by a local municipality. I'm not stating to turn off water for any other usage be it for home residential, commercial business, or fire hydrant water pressure.

Just to avoid the needless use of water when its not supposed to be utilized due to drought restrictions. This is just "Common Sense". Unless local governments want to be further inefficient by levying costly water penalty fines on local residents as a source of income.

My own opinion why Florida is in year long drought restriction guidelines. Is that our population density has mushroomed beyond what is humanly manageable or sustainable by the environment itself.

Renewable Energy Concept: Geo-Thermal Panels

Hello There,

Instead of "solar panels" pointed towards our sun for capturing solar radiation to generate electricity. Let's go beyond such a limited idea in capturing heated energy. Why not create "Geo-Thermal Panels" that capture source energy emitted not just from the Sun, but from the Earth herself?

There are six viable sources of Geo-thermal energy I have concluded can be utilized. With variant locations mostly from human industrial locations that such Geo-thermal panels can be situated. They are as follows: Geysers (IE locations like Yosemite National Park), Hot Springs, Deep undersea Geo-thermal vents, near semi-active Volcanic regions, areas of controlled Fires, or on urban locations where concrete is in plenty of locales. (capturing the heat energy emitted by concrete during the day and evenings)

For those Geo-Thermal panels near a volcanic region. The panels can be cylinders that are buried into the ground so as to absorb the energy from within the Earth itself. Reducing the hazard of destroyed equipment if a major volcanic eruption occurs.

Other areas where Geo-Thermal panels can be located are in a Petro-oil refinery or on Oil drilling platforms. Where there are those spigots that are flaming torches venting excess energy for safety precautions. An array of Geo-Thermal panels can surround these spigots so as to absorb all this heat energy.

There can also be an artificial controlled fire locations with numerous fire safe systems in place. Where in a camp fire pattern an assortment of such Geo-Thermal panels can be located to capture all the heat from such a fire emitter platform.

Also industrial locations that emit "Steam" as a safety precaution similar to a oil refinery. There can be an array of Geo-Thermal panels to absorb all this heated water vapor energy being vented out.

That leaves with two final locations being power plants be they eclectic of nuclear sites. Along the Gulf Coast of the United States if not other warm temperate regions of the Earth. Where mammals such as Manatee's (Sea Cows) congregate for warmth from these artificially heated waterways. There can be an array underwater of such Geo-Thermal panels to be situated.

The last location is within the water retention tank of a Nuclear power plant. Where the radioactive cooling rods are stored. In such a pool along the wall lining of such a water retention tank have such Geo-Thermal panels located.

There is numerous uses for such "Geo-Thermal Panels", with the more locations the more green renewable energy to be had. I may have only scratched the surface of what is possible in deployed locales from such a technology.

Renewable Energy Concept: Kinetic Energy Generators

Today I wanted to share with all of you a unique type of renewable type of energy source. That so far I have not come across in learning about new energy source technologies. I'll call it a "Kinetic Energy Generator", similar to those tidal wave generators that are moored out in the ocean to generate electricity. However this notion is for absorbing kinetic energy from an "Earth Quake".

Yes, you heard me correctly "Earth Quakes" deployed across fault lines be it on land or deep in the sea. (IE Pacific Ocean "Ring of Fire") Of course due to the type of equipment this will be it will not be so apt to destruction. Due to absorbing much of the violent kinetic energy of earth quake tremors.

Eventually as this renewable green energy source is modified in further generations. It can be deployed within commercial real estate such as those skyscrapers that have been reinforced as "Earthquake Proof". Regions of the world be it in California or Japan may eventually have residential units that have been earthquake proofed. Can also have such a "kinetic energy generator" system implemented right along the proofing materials from an earthquake.

Our Earth is constantly emitting a plethora of renewable green energy. If only we had the equipment to harness it all to live independent of centralized utility companies. Which in the later 21st century will be a throw back concept of the industrial revolution.

Comic Book Art Concept: "Live Action Picture Stills As A Comic Book"

Hello All,

Comic book's have been the pre-cursor to cartoons in America if not the world around us. Historically speaking they were invented around the 1930's during the Great Depression years. Where also "Superman" came as a beacon to audiences of that day needing a Hero during those trying times in America.

Believe it or not Hollywood has also realized this for nearly a decade now. Where high budget films based off of the Marvel or DC Comics universe of super heroes or villains has returned to awe and stun audiences alike.

My concept is to meld the comic book media with the sway of full color glossy picture stills. To follow in the foot steps of the current tradition of a comic book. But instead of hand drawn cartoon like graphics by great artists in their own right and generation. To insert full live action and real picture stills by a keen photographers eye. Of course if one is to mimic a Hollywood high budget film. One must include in the background scene CG (computer graphic) elements so as to spruce up the tale.

Such a "Live Action" comic book can include the same crop of famous celebrity talent that the current superhero films are famous for to date. The comic books can come printed in high glossy photo stock paper or come as an digital download or on a limited edition DVD series with numerous bonus features. (such as the production of the comic book, the behind the scenes footage, the history of such a story or how it was created.)

Once this medium of the "Next Generation" of Comic Books takes hold in popular culture. Than journalists can take hold of it in the old "Life Magazine" tradition. By depicting a story in photographic media to enlighten and educate audiences of all ages. Certain real world depictions can be a limited edition run covering the plight of the refugee victims in Dafur Sudan as an example. Where a portion of the retail proceeds goes to a charity be it the "United Nations" or whomever.

The "Live Action" picture stills comic book has a lot of potential to entertain as well as inform.

Intellectual Property Concept: A Remake of Disney's Mary Poppin's

Hello All,

Right now out of Disney's vault of classical media content they are selling for a limited time on DVD the original "Mary Poppin's" movie in all its splendor.

So my idea is for gosh heck why hasn't Disney remade Mary Poppin's for this current generation of children young and old alike? It has remade so many of it's movie classics before, but why not this one?

In the remake of "Mary Poppin's" I have two actresses in mind. "Natalie Portman" is the chief contender for the lead role, but if she is unavailable than select "Christine Knightley". Also a cameo role appearance of "Dick Van Dyke" is a must and without question nor doubt.

However this remake move of "Mary Poppin's" is just a lead in to the children's animated series of the "Little Mary Poppin's". Which can air on the Disney Cable TV channel for young audiences.

The "Little Mary Poppin's" animated cartoon series for children. Will follow Mary Poppin's when she was just a child. How she flowered to be such an adorable human being with such a fairy God Mother enchantment to us all.

The animated series will convey tales of morality that will be both entertaining to children and instructive. Showing us all the back story of how Mary Poppin's came to be and why she is so full of compassion and sweetness.

This is an excellent opportunity for Disney to pursue. If only if they're leadership and imagination permit it during this time and era we're in together.

Electronic Feature Concept: The "Smart DVR"

Hello All,

Right now I'm a subscriber through my cable TV service of the DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Which if your not aware as of yet records and pauses live television broadcasts. So you don't have to be glued to the network or cable broadcasters telecast schedule. Besides a nifty and to die for feature is to fast forward past TV commercials that are often time consuming if not all too repetitive.

My concept today is to make perhaps that next series of DVR devices to include a "Smart Feature". Which the dilemma today that after one schedules a program to be pre-recorded. That many of such broadcasted content runs over its allotted time on TV. Whether this is due to a special announcement on rare occasions or more commonly squeezing too many TV commercials into the program that is airing that day. What this causes is the program that has been recorded at its climatic finale is cut off at the very end. Since the channel guide which is where the television program is scheduled to be recorded by in hour. Is always exact and down to the top of the hour or half past the hour with hardly a diversion in-between.

So my concept of a "Smart DVR" will recognize inherently when such a TV program runs over its allotted scheduled TV time. Where it will continue to record smartly the extra 30 seconds to up to a full 2 minutes where necessary. When a TV broadcaster cheats the channel guide schedule and runs over into the next scheduled programs airing time.

Mostly likely this "Smart DVR" feature will be dumb. Where future DVR software will just automatically add the additional recording time as needed per TV program. When in a future generation that digital detection software improves and catches an over run Tv program. It will kindly continue to record down to the very second that the Tv program truly ceases to be.

That is my desire from DVR developers to instill in these future devices yet to come into our homes or elsewhere.
