Changing "Winter Warmth Drive"

Hello All,

I've never done this before on my blog site. But, it is a worthy charity serving the rural needy of the Lakota Reservation in South Dakota. "Changing Winds", is worthy of honorable mention during our Holiday period of the year. If not throughout the year for their other programs dealing with Lakota Children.

Here is an excerpt with a recent email I had with a staff member of "Changing Winds".org, Ms. Christine Rose. Regarding their annual "Winter Warmth Drive" for the winter season ending 2009-2010.

"Right now we have enough goods to fill a 26" truck that we will be sending to a community of 300 people in the rural area of Pine Ridge. Wanblee is home to severely impoverished Lakota people. Very few have cars, and gas is expensive, and the job rate is 85% because there are no jobs. About 85% go without heat all winter. This particular community is more then an hour away from the downtown of Pine Ridge, which is where most donations go, and two hours away from the nearest shopping and job areas. Our truck will go right into the community, and through a traditional Give Away, coats, blankets, childrens and adult clothing, beds, bureaus, hats and gloves will be given first to the elderly, then the children, then to families. Right now, we are raising funds to get that truck out there. Your donation will go directly, and 100%, to that.

Best wishes and thank you so much for your generosity!!! Feel free to share this email and our goal of warmth for the literally thousands of children who will do without warmth this winter.

Changing Winds"

It goes without saying a small community of 300 people in a rural area of South Dakota. Within the Grand U.S.A. in living conditions you would find in a 3rd World status nation.

Unfortunately this is nothing new to the Lakota or the myriad of Tribal communities in our Great Land. This has been ongoing for decades if not generations, this is not something you'll ever hear about in the liberal news press of: CNN, MSNBC, or PBS.

It's difficult to be a proud American when segments of her people are in economic depression status all year round, if not worse. (re: the high suicide rates of Lakota young males)

Please visit and familiarize yourself with their efforts. Even if you can't contribute anything this Holiday Season. Give yourself an eye opening informative experience of the sacred indigenous people of America.

Jewels of Truth Quotations & Favorite Quotes of The Month

Hello All,

It's that time of the month again with another trio of all original "Jewels of Truth" series.

All military service personnel here in the States or in the NATO forces. May you all have a good "Veterans Day", thank you for your service and sacrifice on behalf of your nations.

878) Those who "Have" will be offered more as to quantify their access to abundance. Those who have a mind set of "Lack" will be given less or nothing at all. Due to a outlook of scarcity akin to a mirror reflecting what is held upon the "Mind's Eye" of such a person. Our Universe is flowing over with abundance able to discern from our hearts and minds what we seek, in contrast to our daily lives.
---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo.

879) God(dess)'s, truest form as his / her Image isn't as a human being. That to humanity is a narcissistic species centric point of view, if it is held at all.

God(dess), is not in his / her truest purest form an animal, plant, insect, nor even a mineral or bacteria.

God(dess)"s, truest purest form is that of Spirit itself. A Holy Divine Spirit of Infinite Light. That shines within all life forms, no matter their: shape, size, mass, or volume.

God(dess), is within us as Spirit, and we are alive because of such a gift of Life. Amen.
---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo.

880) All religious institutions have become corrupted one time or another, not by the God(dess) (singular or plural) that is worshiped. But by the controlling interests of mankind itself. Either with misguided thinkers or worse evil plotters from within such a religious body of leaders.
Spirituality is the best form of worship for an individual. Whether as a fellowship amongst others or as a solitary disciplinary practice. Amen. ---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo.

They who give have all things; they who withhold have nothing. ---Hindu Proverb.

There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward. ---Kahil Gibran. 1883-1931.

Hope is the companion of power, and mother of success, for who so hopes strongly has within him the gift of miracles. ---Samuel Smiles. (Scottish Author, 1812-1904)
