Coastal Beach Concept: Anti-Beach Erosion Counter Measure

Hello All,

I've lived in Florida practically my entire lifetime be it in South Florida and now in South West Florida. Each hurricane season after tropical storms or full blown hurricanes unfortunately make landfall. Coastal communities in Florida that depend on tourism need to replenish they're local beach tourist hot spots.

Here in Sarasota Florida that usually means hiring an expensive dredging barge outfit. To dredge sand from near local island keys to replenish lost eroded sand from Siesta Key or elsewhere.

I would like to offer an alternative abstract solution to this costly dilemma by suggesting a "Beach Skirt". A "Beach Skirt" is a tough fabric like material that acts like a sleeve across the shoreline of a particular tourist beach region.

The "Beach Skirt" can be deployed manually with the aid of a vehicle or via a deployment station on either end of the beach shoreline. The beach skirt can be anchored into place beneath the waterline and other buried hooks in the sand. That when deployed in a sweeping fashion without the need of any over head cables. Will horizontally sweep across the beach shoreline of a tourist beach before an anticipated tropical disturbance.

Thus when "Storm Surge" occurs there will be an avoidance of significant beach shoreline erosion. After the danger of a tropical disturbance passes from the region the "Beach Skirt" is merely retracted into storage.

This is the general concept in how to safeguard a coastal regions tourist beach locales.

Can enroll in a "Gamer Workshop" be it at a Internet Cafe or via an online course offering by an enterprising individual.

The game workshop can be as simple as teaching from a game "strategy guide" that usually sell for $19.95 US. So if the instructor can obtain a volume discount on purchased game strategy guides. To be resold to his / her own students in the workshop at retail prices that adds additional income to the workshop provider. If the workshop is to be held online the game workshop provider can arrange for an affiliation program sign-up (where available). Civics Concept: American Pledge Of Allegiance Modification

Hello All,

Today's concept is for modifying the often controversial "Under God" statement in our American pledge of Allegiance. Not by making it into further division but in making it totally inclusive.

If my American history serves me right it was under the FDR years that our American pledge of allegiance was altered. To include the now controversial portion "Under God We Trust", since America was founded as a pluralistic Christian nation.

My suggestion to make this modification is to further avoid as a proactive measure anymore civil lawsuits. Much like the one that happened in the late 1990's filed by an atheist father on behalf of his young daughter. That lawsuit against the Federal government went all the way to our Federal Supreme Court. Of course the ruling went against the plaintiff and our American Pledge of Allegiance stays as it is to this day.

My suggestion is very simple, when the person reciting the American pledge of Allegiance comes to the portion "Under God". They can utter God or any other power they uphold whether by faith or political persuasion. Be it Under: God, Goddess, Republican Party, Allah, Jesus Christ, Mohammad, Moses, etc...

It would be the full right of the citizen to choose what to respectfully utter instead of saying "God". This is as all inclusive as one can get by just modifying one word in our American pledge of allegiance. Yes, the word and importance of "God" is absolute. But that is just my personal belief and it may not be for other citizens in America.

As "Tavis Smiley" says on PBS television channel so often and I paraphrase. America has never been so multi: cultural, ethnic, and racial as it is today. Those who are atheists or agnostic can be given the liberty to utter "nothing" when they come to the word of "God".

The rest of us will declare what we hold dearest by Faith.

Military Ordinance Concept: Anti-Vehicular EMP Land Mines

Hello All,

I hardly post about my Imagineer sessions when it comes to military technology. Last time I believe was about a flaw in the US Marine Osprey rotary aircraft when it crashes. I offered a potential solution for Osprey crashes even from within 20 feet off the ground. Where they practically tear the fuselage apart leaving no where safe for an emergency impact that close to the ground.

During this time however I wanted to forecast a anti-vehicular EMP (electro magnetic) land mine. Where in non-shielded vehicles be they civilian or military ground vehicles. When rolling over such a deployed land mine field of such EMP mines can disable a vehicle.

Of course only a vehicle of heavy tonnage can set off such a EMP pulse land mine. Not a mere person stepping on them nor infantry units marching through. Unless they are intermingled with anti-personnel mines but that is another pattern layout for a mine field.

These EMP anti-vehicle land mines can be recharged if they have been triggered. Thus recycling the ordinance out in the field or theater of operation. Be it by a mobile platform recharging station or a fixed location recharging station.

Ideal locations where these EMP pulse anti-vehicle land mines can be deployed. Are in front or a surrounding perimeter around US Embassies abroad, particularly the "Middle East".

By the U.S. border with Mexico to impede drug smuggler operations or coyote human traffickers.

Around other sensitive landmark installations where a suicide bomber in a vehicle loaded with explosives can be neutralized before reaching his / her own target. Be it by oil industrial pipes, petro-chemical refineries, or other locales.

Public School Support Concept: Schools Adopting A School Program

Hello All,

During this period of "No Child Left Behind" Federal Act mandated by the Federal government here in America for public education. Where drilling students academically nearly in a para-military fashion to gauge they're overall learning for the pupil and the school itself. Has in effect voided the humane process of a public education based on inquiry especially for those schools that receive a failing grade. Many of these failing schools can be found not in the suburbs but in the inner cities of America. Such schools that continue to receive failing grades year after year are punished by removing resources and much needed public education dollars.

Instead of fostering a separate and very unequal public education system in America. My suggested concept comes into play allowing the creme d' la creme of the high grade scoring schools to adopt they're failing grade School cousins within the same school district county.

Each school district can devise the incentives of the high achieving school to adopt a school that matches the same grade levels they both teach. (IE a high school adopts another high school)

What this school to school adoption process entails is the following.

1) A teacher, administrative staff (IE assistant principles), school guidance counselors etc... Will be allowed to have an exchange program for a couple semesters at a time between the schools. So the high performer faculty can rotate to the failing school to serve for a couple semesters. And vice a versa the faculty in need to learning better processes can do so in the role model school.

2) A satellite non-profit "Foundation" is created for the failing grade school. Where excess resources, such as text books, computers, multi-media content, library books, etc.. Can be funneled from the role model school to the failing grade school through the foundation.

The foundation will also serve as a local community outreach fund raiser vehicle. For much needed monies that would otherwise be withheld from the failing school under the "No Child Left Behind" Federal Act. Preferably private donated dollars or other committed resources from the community can lift the ailing school in need. Fund raiser events can be also held in the role model school for their cousin school in need. Teaching perhaps civics and volunteerism to the student population in both schools by such fund raiser events.

3) The Foundation can also foster shared "Workshops" between the schools. Where akin to student tutoring the failing school can be remediated by the role model school and other faculty in the school district.

Such a school adoption process can take many years to reestablish the failing school into a productive passing grade school. But when it does occur the once school in distress of resources and monies will have graduated. The foundation laid in place for the ailing school will stay permanently to continue its mandate for providing what is needed when able.

Like the proud parent that adopted the school in distress they can be allowed to repeat the process all over again with a new school adoptee if they so choose after a cooling off period. The cooling off period will allow additional unofficial mentorship between the former adopted school. Where the role model school can recenter its role in its own local community. By having a time out period to readjust by being on its own again deciding if it will adopt another school within such a program.

Video Game Console Concept: Video Game System Embedded Into Your LCD / Plasma Displays

Hello All,

How many of you remember the days of the CRT televisions with an embedded VCR or DVD player in them?

Well what if carrying that multi-purpose CRT TV sets into the LCD / Plasma TV set age?

Where upon the base of a LCD / Plasma display be it upon a computer monitor or entertainment center. A video game console system is embedded directly into your LCD / Plasma. So if you have a 15"inch display to a 60"inch display you can have your video game system with it. Especially nowadays where the the PS3 (Playstation 3) or the Xbox 360 offer respectively Bluray or HD next generation DVD players with them.

If we can have multi-function PDA's or Cell Phones, why can't we have multi-function TV or Computer Monitor sets?

For those LCD / Plasma displays that hang on your wall instead. The base can be extended downward keeping the overall thickness of the set top display. Allowing the video game console system to be embedded into the base. Much like today's "Server Blades" that IBM has showcased in the past via commercials.

Having the video game console system configured into a blade design slipping right into the overall thickness of today's LCD / Plasma displays.

It can be done, it's just the video games industry hasn't envisioned it yet.
