A Divine Excursion

Greetings,

From time to time i like to break from the norm and throw a little diddy of my own writings that doesn't include a quotation. Since I hope your aware all my material is an inspired work accomplished via "automatic writing" technique. Basically that is getting out of my own way and allowing the spirit of God within to flow unconditionally.

Here are two examples of what i mean:

If one is in turmoil within a constant storm in terms of karma they will be brewing about in such angst. The obverse is simultaneously true if one has self-control one will continuously prosper in the harmony & love of God(dess).

Banking Concept: Universal Reward Credit Card

Hello All,

How many of you have a branded credit card from a bank that offers a reward program associated with it? Be it a VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, etc... bank offered credit card.

Well how about for an annual fee of around $80 US paid in one payment to your bank. Where your bank offers you a "Universal Reward Credit Card". What this means is you as a customer can select up to 12 reward programs that are cross-branded from various outlets. Be it from a gasoline station to an online service like MyPoints for frequent shoppers.

So instead of your regular reward program credit card that rewards you per transaction. A "Universal Reward Credit Card" can have up to 12 cross-branded reward programs on board. Upon sign-up the customer merely selects from a list of a few dozen reward programs. Once those 12 are selected for example they are associated with your "Universal Reward Credit Card". But if the customer decides to toggle out one reward program for another there can be a one time courtesy period to do so. After that a minor fee can be charged when a customer decides to switch a reward program for another outside the grace period.

Picture a customer using their "Universal Reward Credit Card" where on board of such a credit card are 12 reward programs. So that each transaction the customer gets a dozen different reward program transactions upon usage. Instead of the typical one transaction reward program credit cards that exist today.

So for consumers that are on the go, your "Universal Reward Credit Card" can keep pace with you. For those customers that use their bank offered credit card frequently the member annual fee pays for itself. From all the accrued reward member programs associated with such a singular credit card.

Social Justice Concept: An American "Truth & Reconciliation Commission" Is Needed

After viewing a PBS episode of "Bill Moyers Journal" this week where Desmond Tutu of South Africa was mentioned and discussed.

I got to thinking that America unlike South Africa in 1994 with the ending of Apartheid had no "Truth & Reconciliation Commission". In regards to the near genocide committed to Native Americans and especially to the imported slaves and than later Jim Crow treatment of African-Americans.

It took the U.S. nearly 50 years to address the Japanese internment camps during WWII during the Reagan Administration. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Abolisher's before him began the century long societal discussion of the treatment of African-Americans. However these discussions with our American society is still ongoing as a social democratic experiment.

I'm not talking about reparations to Native Americans or Afro-Americans. What I am discussing is something very similar to the "Truth & Reconciliation Commission" that helped heal the nation of South Africa in 1994 in regards to "Apartheid".

The United States of America has had nothing close to this, lest the work begun or continued by Martin Luther King Jr. with his "Beloved Community" philosophy.

The inequalities with Native Americans continues to this day and if not for grass roots social organizations would be very much forgotten. Casinos on Native American reservations isn't the ultimate solution for these indigenous people of our America.

On the other societal discussion is that Afro-Americans make up nearly 2/3's of our national prison inmate populations. Often stricken by poverty and lack of opportunity we as a consumer capitalistic society would rather discard people than invest in them it seems. This is just a continued tapestry of hardship facing Afro-Americans in our nation that continues to this day and age.

If we as Americans in our civil society do not demand a change not just from our government, but from each other. Our civil society will sooner than later implode onto itself. It may not be a catastrophic implosion but a social paralysis of will power and vision will lead us further away from a Republic Democracy. It will turn us into something that may take more than a generation to extricate ourselves from in the future.

Society Concept: Homeless Community Campus

Our super power nation is slipping from grace when 97 million of our citizens are either in poverty or labeled as the working poor. Even to date among US military bases, at least the larger ones have "Food Banks" for enlisted personnel families. Yes, enlisted personnel in the US military are also considered the "working poor". Particularly those with a larger family and sometimes holding non-commissioned officer status.

Now back to the point aside from my small rant above on the working poor of the US military.

Picture a public college or University campus but instead of classrooms. Being reconfigured to house and treat the local or regional (usually tri-county) homeless populations. Having social services all in a centralized community campus location. Not so much treated as a segregated prison facility but a community campus onto itself.

With an auditorium, a hospital / clinic, vocational institute, GED services, Chapel, etc... All treating various classifications of those considered homeless, be it: veterans, mentally ill, elderly, physical disabilities, children & mothers, runaway children, etc...

The "Homeless Community Campus" can have the typical multi-bed facilities that places like the "Salvation Army" utilize. But also there can be numerous efficiency units for those with dependents who need a minuscule amount of privacy and dignity.

The "Homeless Community Campus" can be considered a place of rehabilitation back to a productive citizens of our nation. Besides those who are considered as "Chronics" who aren't willing to help themselves but can be cultivated as human beings in some other dignified outlet.

If America the bastion of Liberty and Freedom can't willfully care for the least amongst us. Than we have no business for much longer of being a superpower of anything.

Fund Raiser Concept: Gamers Tournament Marathon

I've got to thinking once more what if a typical gamer's tourney (tournament) was applied as a charity fund raiser system.

The common gamers tournament of today consists basically of individuals or teams of gamers competing head to head. For a cash prize or other sorts of prizes backed by a corporate sponsor(s).

Taking that gamers tournament model and converting it into a fund raising event wouldn't be much of a stretch. Where the overall scores of all participants during this gamer's marathon tournament. Can be formulated into a cash value equivalent that is matched by the corporate sponsor(s).

So for example where multiple gamer teams compete head to head during a all day event. The net total of the winning team scores from the entry level, semi-finals, and finals is tabulated and converted to a cash equivalent value. Not that much different on how many Java based games today give tokens today as a virtual reward versus a cash one.

In such a gamers tournament marathon for a fund raiser. Be it the: March of Dimes, St. Judes Children Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, etc... The corporate sponsor(s) can agree to pay a baseline donation if the tournament scores are lack luster. However if they exceed the baseline arranged in advance much like a "Jerry Lewis" type of telethon of raising a certain amount of cash. (in this case score value). The corporate sponsor(s) will pay a matching amount to whatever the overall winning teams net score will be.

Of course corporate sponsor(s) can go beyond just cash donations to donated goods or services likewise to a charity event.

My Whereabouts...

Hello All,

Sorry for the lack of updates to my blog site. Since for the past 4 months or so i had stepped up to lead a gamer's guild (club) through the beta periods of "Tabula Rasa". (an MMO game retailing 11/02/07)

On top of that i finally got off my duff and I'm having my first volume in paperback and e-book form of "Jewels of Truth" to be published. This first volume will consist of 365 of my own authored spiritual wisdom based proverb like quotations.

Humanatrian Concept: Veteran Service Force

Hello All,

This concept of mine is about re-utilizing veterans of all past / present conflicts of the world. Where as a direct opposite to a mercenary force. To a humanitarian force of recruited veterans to serve as aid workers or Peace Keepers in the worlds troubled hot spots.

Often veterans of all nations are often misunderstood or worse discarded as if they were a spent ammo cartridge. Here in America we're notorious for discarding people in a consumer like mentality. Our burgeoning homeless populations is largely made up of veterans that we have conveniently forgotten. Let alone being the largest prison nation of the world with over 2 million inmates and counting.

I having reverence for military service personnel of all past conflicts. Would like to see them healed in spirit, for what nations gave them authority to commit in the name of Peace & Justice.

I would like nations again to invoke the names of Peace & Justice for all of our veterans to be able to service in a volunteer task force initiative. It could be offered by a NGO (non governmental organization) for veterans of all nations that are of able mind and body. To service as aid workers if not Peace Keepers in the troubled hot spot conflict area's of the world.

Our veterans like it or not are already hardwired in spirit for conflict. Many unfortunately left a portion of their souls in past battlefields. As a form of therapeutic service by allowing veterans to serve in similar troubled areas but not as soldiers, but as humanitarians. Without being directly in the line of fire, but relatively close to it they can cope and hopefully heal in body, spirit, and mind.

Of course these veterans deployed overseas will be accompanied by mental health care practitioners to help them in reintegrating their past trauma into a form of redemption.

For those veterans who are severally physically disabled can also serve. But not in direct deployments like they're other veteran counter-parts. Those of a physically or severely mental handicap can serve as logistical or administrative support roles to those in deployments.

So area's like the Congo, Darfur province in Sudan, or elsewhere can serve with dignity as aiding humanitarians.

School Budgeting Concept: Cut School Busing From 4th Graders On Up

Hello All,

In the climate of continued revenue short falls for public school districts across the nation. That is a symptom of other fiscal monetary crisis's that will surely occur in America. The signs are evident be it the first nation to spend a Trillion Dollars and going into a regional Middle East war campaign. The US Dollar currency valuation in thirty year lows. China owning 25% of the US debt at around 8 Trillion dollars and growing. The writing is on the wall across our society but like a highly caffeinated society we're in denial or distracted.

My suggestion is to reduce or cut down on public school district busing. Only for those over the 4th grade ages on up from Elementary unto High Schools. Those that are 3rd graders and below including disabled students will continue to receive public school busing as usual.

What this will save for the public school districts is fuel costs, less drivers & mechanics, retire older high maintenance buses, close down certain bus depots, etc... The solution for public school students to continue arriving to school is to receive "Student Passes" from the school board to be used on local Public Transit systems. Problem students who act like fools on these transit county buses will be kicked off just like they're adult counter-parts. A few incidents like these would force the juveniles to act like adults or start to use a bicycle.

The excess buses in the school fleet can be auctioned off. Besides being used for certain county events or emergency excavations.

Another less radical alternative is to start charging parents for school busing by passing on the costs to the parents. Of course like breakfast free or reduced lunches in public schools. There can be free or reduced cost school busing for those school children eligible due to low income parents.

In directly this could force more students to attend a Virtual School Academy similar to what the State of Florida offers.

Something has to give in this growing climate of budget shortfalls. Due to the fact that public schools are a form of Socialistic education in a Capitalistic society.
