Social Justice Concept: An American "Truth & Reconciliation Commission" Is Needed

After viewing a PBS episode of "Bill Moyers Journal" this week where Desmond Tutu of South Africa was mentioned and discussed.

I got to thinking that America unlike South Africa in 1994 with the ending of Apartheid had no "Truth & Reconciliation Commission". In regards to the near genocide committed to Native Americans and especially to the imported slaves and than later Jim Crow treatment of African-Americans.

It took the U.S. nearly 50 years to address the Japanese internment camps during WWII during the Reagan Administration. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Abolisher's before him began the century long societal discussion of the treatment of African-Americans. However these discussions with our American society is still ongoing as a social democratic experiment.

I'm not talking about reparations to Native Americans or Afro-Americans. What I am discussing is something very similar to the "Truth & Reconciliation Commission" that helped heal the nation of South Africa in 1994 in regards to "Apartheid".

The United States of America has had nothing close to this, lest the work begun or continued by Martin Luther King Jr. with his "Beloved Community" philosophy.

The inequalities with Native Americans continues to this day and if not for grass roots social organizations would be very much forgotten. Casinos on Native American reservations isn't the ultimate solution for these indigenous people of our America.

On the other societal discussion is that Afro-Americans make up nearly 2/3's of our national prison inmate populations. Often stricken by poverty and lack of opportunity we as a consumer capitalistic society would rather discard people than invest in them it seems. This is just a continued tapestry of hardship facing Afro-Americans in our nation that continues to this day and age.

If we as Americans in our civil society do not demand a change not just from our government, but from each other. Our civil society will sooner than later implode onto itself. It may not be a catastrophic implosion but a social paralysis of will power and vision will lead us further away from a Republic Democracy. It will turn us into something that may take more than a generation to extricate ourselves from in the future.

Game Concept: Enhancments To Avoid Sorry & Lose A Turn Results

How many of you have played online those free Java based games that offer real cash and prizes? Be they from an "Instant Win" sweepstakes promotion or online sites like: Pogo.com, iWon.com, or elsewhere.

Society Concept: Homeless Community Campus

Our super power nation is slipping from grace when 97 million of our citizens are either in poverty or labeled as the working poor. Even to date among US military bases, at least the larger ones have "Food Banks" for enlisted personnel families. Yes, enlisted personnel in the US military are also considered the "working poor". Particularly those with a larger family and sometimes holding non-commissioned officer status.

Now back to the point aside from my small rant above on the working poor of the US military.

Picture a public college or University campus but instead of classrooms. Being reconfigured to house and treat the local or regional (usually tri-county) homeless populations. Having social services all in a centralized community campus location. Not so much treated as a segregated prison facility but a community campus onto itself.

With an auditorium, a hospital / clinic, vocational institute, GED services, Chapel, etc... All treating various classifications of those considered homeless, be it: veterans, mentally ill, elderly, physical disabilities, children & mothers, runaway children, etc...

The "Homeless Community Campus" can have the typical multi-bed facilities that places like the "Salvation Army" utilize. But also there can be numerous efficiency units for those with dependents who need a minuscule amount of privacy and dignity.

The "Homeless Community Campus" can be considered a place of rehabilitation back to a productive citizens of our nation. Besides those who are considered as "Chronics" who aren't willing to help themselves but can be cultivated as human beings in some other dignified outlet.

If America the bastion of Liberty and Freedom can't willfully care for the least amongst us. Than we have no business for much longer of being a superpower of anything.

Fund Raiser Concept: Gamers Tournament Marathon

I've got to thinking once more what if a typical gamer's tourney (tournament) was applied as a charity fund raiser system.

The common gamers tournament of today consists basically of individuals or teams of gamers competing head to head. For a cash prize or other sorts of prizes backed by a corporate sponsor(s).

Taking that gamers tournament model and converting it into a fund raising event wouldn't be much of a stretch. Where the overall scores of all participants during this gamer's marathon tournament. Can be formulated into a cash value equivalent that is matched by the corporate sponsor(s).

So for example where multiple gamer teams compete head to head during a all day event. The net total of the winning team scores from the entry level, semi-finals, and finals is tabulated and converted to a cash equivalent value. Not that much different on how many Java based games today give tokens today as a virtual reward versus a cash one.

In such a gamers tournament marathon for a fund raiser. Be it the: March of Dimes, St. Judes Children Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, etc... The corporate sponsor(s) can agree to pay a baseline donation if the tournament scores are lack luster. However if they exceed the baseline arranged in advance much like a "Jerry Lewis" type of telethon of raising a certain amount of cash. (in this case score value). The corporate sponsor(s) will pay a matching amount to whatever the overall winning teams net score will be.

Of course corporate sponsor(s) can go beyond just cash donations to donated goods or services likewise to a charity event.

My Whereabouts...

Hello All,

Sorry for the lack of updates to my blog site. Since for the past 4 months or so i had stepped up to lead a gamer's guild (club) through the beta periods of "Tabula Rasa". (an MMO game retailing 11/02/07)

On top of that i finally got off my duff and I'm having my first volume in paperback and e-book form of "Jewels of Truth" to be published. This first volume will consist of 365 of my own authored spiritual wisdom based proverb like quotations.

Humanatrian Concept: Veteran Service Force

Hello All,

This concept of mine is about re-utilizing veterans of all past / present conflicts of the world. Where as a direct opposite to a mercenary force. To a humanitarian force of recruited veterans to serve as aid workers or Peace Keepers in the worlds troubled hot spots.

Often veterans of all nations are often misunderstood or worse discarded as if they were a spent ammo cartridge. Here in America we're notorious for discarding people in a consumer like mentality. Our burgeoning homeless populations is largely made up of veterans that we have conveniently forgotten. Let alone being the largest prison nation of the world with over 2 million inmates and counting.

I having reverence for military service personnel of all past conflicts. Would like to see them healed in spirit, for what nations gave them authority to commit in the name of Peace & Justice.

I would like nations again to invoke the names of Peace & Justice for all of our veterans to be able to service in a volunteer task force initiative. It could be offered by a NGO (non governmental organization) for veterans of all nations that are of able mind and body. To service as aid workers if not Peace Keepers in the troubled hot spot conflict area's of the world.

Our veterans like it or not are already hardwired in spirit for conflict. Many unfortunately left a portion of their souls in past battlefields. As a form of therapeutic service by allowing veterans to serve in similar troubled areas but not as soldiers, but as humanitarians. Without being directly in the line of fire, but relatively close to it they can cope and hopefully heal in body, spirit, and mind.

Of course these veterans deployed overseas will be accompanied by mental health care practitioners to help them in reintegrating their past trauma into a form of redemption.

For those veterans who are severally physically disabled can also serve. But not in direct deployments like they're other veteran counter-parts. Those of a physically or severely mental handicap can serve as logistical or administrative support roles to those in deployments.

So area's like the Congo, Darfur province in Sudan, or elsewhere can serve with dignity as aiding humanitarians.

School Budgeting Concept: Cut School Busing From 4th Graders On Up

Hello All,

In the climate of continued revenue short falls for public school districts across the nation. That is a symptom of other fiscal monetary crisis's that will surely occur in America. The signs are evident be it the first nation to spend a Trillion Dollars and going into a regional Middle East war campaign. The US Dollar currency valuation in thirty year lows. China owning 25% of the US debt at around 8 Trillion dollars and growing. The writing is on the wall across our society but like a highly caffeinated society we're in denial or distracted.

My suggestion is to reduce or cut down on public school district busing. Only for those over the 4th grade ages on up from Elementary unto High Schools. Those that are 3rd graders and below including disabled students will continue to receive public school busing as usual.

What this will save for the public school districts is fuel costs, less drivers & mechanics, retire older high maintenance buses, close down certain bus depots, etc... The solution for public school students to continue arriving to school is to receive "Student Passes" from the school board to be used on local Public Transit systems. Problem students who act like fools on these transit county buses will be kicked off just like they're adult counter-parts. A few incidents like these would force the juveniles to act like adults or start to use a bicycle.

The excess buses in the school fleet can be auctioned off. Besides being used for certain county events or emergency excavations.

Another less radical alternative is to start charging parents for school busing by passing on the costs to the parents. Of course like breakfast free or reduced lunches in public schools. There can be free or reduced cost school busing for those school children eligible due to low income parents.

In directly this could force more students to attend a Virtual School Academy similar to what the State of Florida offers.

Movie Concept: Beevis & Butthead (Non-Animated) Comedy Movie

Hello All,

With the recent string of moronic comedic movies being churned out by Hollywood these days. Why not develop a comedy based movie on the mid 1990's MTV generation of "Beevis & Butthead"?

Of course this wouldn't be an animated movie like the recent televised series that aired back in the day. It would be portrayed with live actors much like the recent portrayal of Eon Flux action movie. Which was also an animated action series from said MTV in those 30 minute spots.

Now which comedic actors would be the one's to cast as the moronic teenage duo? Who can best play "Cornholio"? Perhaps Mike Myers from his antics in "Wayne's World", or is he not still worthy? Drew Carey was Mike Myers side kick during "Wayne's World" back in those Saturday Night Live days. There can be Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson filling those teenage antic roles.

Since if the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy directed by Peter Jackson can miniaturize adult actors into Hobbits. Than modern camera technology can certainly make a well known adult comedian into a snot nosed teenager of the ilk of Beevis & Butthead.

Military Concept: Add Inflatable Belly Fuselage Airbag To The Osprey V-22

Hello All,

Just the other day I was reading the latest issue of Time magazine. Where the cover story was regarding the glitches of the "Bell Boeing V-22" (Osprey) Marine corps aircraft for troop and equipment transport. Since the Osprey V-22 is now starting to see combat operations duty in Iraq, if not Afghanistan.

The article was describing in how when the Osprey V-22 is in helicopter mode it is in a precarious spot. From 150 ft. downward as its two turbine engines are rotating into airplane mode. The danger would be in helicopter mode would be a fatal "Belly Flop" if it lost power, an engine, or hostile fire causing it to crash.

My concept is to add to the belly of the Osprey aircraft a similar airbag that the NASA Mar's Rover utilized. How many of you remember that rendered video from NASA regarding the Mars Rover coming into planetary reentry. Where before landfall the packaged drone inflated with multiple balloons and bounced several times to the ground to avoid a destructive impact of the payload.

If something like NASA's airbag unit for the payload of the Mars Rover can be applied to the belly of the Osprey V-22. It can save numerous lives of the crew if not and passengers or salvageable payloads. Of course the inflatable airbag system tucked into the fuselage belly of the Osprey would only discharge in a helicopter mode emergency. Be it on land or over water as an air cushion to absorb as much G-Force impact as it can for the 150 Ft. and lower downward crash.

TV Show Concept: Reality Series On Federal or State Prisons

Hello All,

As of late I've heard the words "Prison Industrial Complex", which reminds me of President Eisenhower in regards to his term of "Military Industrial Complex". I enjoy watching Tavis Smiley show on my local PBS TV station. Where numerous issues of people of various colors are addressed. Be they Hispanic or Afro-American, and yet still sometimes American Indian.

One statistic I heard that the Afro-American population in the entire State of California is 9%. But that 9% converts to 40% of the Afro-American population in the prison system of California. These numbers that represent a myriad of social issues for black America is a sobering realization.

My concept for this segment is that a television reality series covers this aforementioned "Prison Industrial Complex". Part of the appeal of this reality Tv series is educational. Much like Dwayne "Dog" Chapman on the A&E Tv reality series of "Dog The Bounty Hunter" depicts.
If a reality Tv series on the American Prison system be it civilian or military, or Federal or State prison systems is created and aired. It will shine a bright light on this American dilemma, that next to China or perhaps India we have one of the largest prison systems in the world.

Where the stories of the accused inmates can be told, including the stories of the correctional staff in these facilities, especially of a warden. I know of only MSNBC doing a series of documentaries of certain U.S. prisons. So this topic is under reported at best, if not ignored at worst.

A portion of this reality Tv series can cover the contractors that service a prison. Be it on the civilian or military form of penal system. Which perhaps can help us understand more so how atrocities like "Abu Garib" can occur in U.S. occupied Iraq.

We are only as strong as our weakest link. And perhaps our prison system burgeoning as it is in a consumer throw away society is our weakest link.

News Show Concept: "The Muppets News" (Hour)

Hello All,

Many of you will be asking yourselves what was I tripping on when this notion came across my minds eye. Well to be honest, I'm part of a "man child" in character for those that truly know me personally. (perhaps that's why I'm also a gamer)

Now onto this television news show concept featuring the famous "Jim Henson" Muppet's. (or an equivalent if Disney isn't interested.)

Slightly borrowing from the "Jon Stewart, The Daily Show" with its comedic tongue in cheek script writing. Have a Muppet's comedic style delivery of real news out in the world that is fit for all ages.

For example, the cast of this Muppet's news programming can include "Gonzo" as the news anchor in a suit and tie set up. (perhaps a different colorful suit for each broadcast) "Big Bird", can be the travel news correspondent that can be co-branded with Travelocity or Expedia for example. "Count Dracula", can be the Gothic night scene news reporter covering the nightclubs or other haunts (pun intended). "The Swedish Chef", does the cooking show segment with a guest star chef like "Emeril, Rachel Ray, etc...". "Beaker", can cover the science and technology news segments. "Miss Piggy", can do the weather forecasting falling into the stereo-typical weather girl role. Finally "Kermit" can cover the ever important environmental news spots occurring across our globe.

Of course other Muppet's such as the two old geezers can hurl comments from the "Live" studio audience as hecklers.

If this news format succeeds than the concept can create a spin-off of a "Talk Show" format. Where each week a different Muppet holds the host spot on a topic near and dear to their hearts and minds.

Gems of Opportunity: Water Supply Concept: Purifying Monsoon and Flood Waters Via Supertanker Vessels

Lately, I'm hearing from BBC World news that in the Asian sub-continent of India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. There have been around 20 million people displaced within their own country due to the yearly monsoon season. However, this year's monsoon season is more severe than usual, perhaps due to global climate change.

My concept delves into the topic of the future clean water supply shortages that will likely occur. If you think the US is in Middle East for controlling interests of oil. Then surely with water shortages looming the US or the Western world will make similar cases in "Water Rich" countries.

My suggestion is to develop infrastructure in India or other parts of southern Asia. Where water pumping stations leading to a pipeline that goes to industrial ports. Where polluted fresh water flood or monsoon waters are siphoned off to a fleet of tanker ships. These retrofitted tanker ships may not even be required to be doubled hull like their petroleum tanker cousins. Since the cargo is potable water, perhaps using older tanker fleets with a single hull can be retrofitted and sterilized for such transports.

On board, such single hull tankers will be a water filtration plant where the piped in polluted freshwater flood or monsoon waters. Are purified en route to their destination perhaps to ports in Los Angeles. (America's 2nd largest city soon facing clean water shortages)

Also, these tankers with water treatment filtration plants onboard can provide a valuable service to countries like India or China. Where clean drinking water is already facing shortages due to poor environmental standards.

Water could soon be treated as an even bigger export commodity by monsoon or flood prone countries. If such a water filtration and logistical transport infrastructure is ever developed at all.

MMO Games Concept: MMO Game Publisher Currency & Commodity Transfer System

Hello All,

Right now I'm aware of at least 2 major game publishers in the MMO (massively multiplayer online) game's market. That being SOE (Sony Entertainment Online) and NC Soft, one being Japanese the other South Korean that services the Western gamers market. Since I'm more familiar directly with the SOE MMO game titles I'll list this game publisher as an example in my concept herein.

Right now SOE is providing an Auction Exchange Servers for their Everquest 2 game title. What if SOE offered a virtual currency & commodity transfer system for a fee between their game worlds. For example, the same account holder that plays both SWG (Star Wars Galaxies & Everquest 2) can transfer his virtual currency savings between the both game worlds. Minus a real fix charge by the game publisher and there after a percentage of the amount in value transferred.

There can also be a virtual game commodity transfer system where the MMO game worlds include a harvesting / crafting game features. For example, where in there are 100 animal hides in Everquest 2 that can be transferred to the other game world title of Vanguard: Saga of Hero's. For another assessed fixed fee and there after a percentage value of those virtual goods.

This way hopefully game publishers can steal additional thunder from the often times illegal secondary black market of virtual game currencies exchange services. Where as a game publishers native customer service bureaus are tasked for dealing with the mess caused by these other secondary market providers.

Financial Concept: Non-Profit / Not For Profit Monetary Exchange

Hello All,

Globally there are world for profit stock markets listing numerous upon end capitalistic enterprises. Why not have an equivalent monetary exchange as a ultimate fund raising system for "non-profits" and "not for profits"?

Where instead of stocks per say of these for profit companies exchanging hands on the markets. Trust funds of these non-profits / not for profits are traded Ala a mutual fund of sorts. Bonds can also be issued as another financial instrument. There can be ETF's (Exchange Traded Funds) that focus entirely on "Social Programs" of the greater good. Such as: Eco-Friendly initiatives, civic volunteer involvement, food banks, homelessness, etc...

Not unlike a "Fortune 500" for the capitalists, why not create a "Service 500" for the top serving charitable organizations to the world. I.E. The Red Cross, Heifer International, YMCA, Salvation Army, Mercy Corps, The United Way, St. Judes Children's Hospital. Goodwill Industries, etc...

Why can't philanthropic groups united with numerous foundations and charitable trusts unite to form such a non-profit / not for profit monetary exchange. So as to increase further awareness of all these socially progressive organizations and ultimately raise much needed financial capital.

Food Concept: Pastry Burrito

Hello All,

Today, I would like to share with all of you another interesting and novel dessert food product concept. This one is the "Pastry Burrito" with the regular corn tortilla but with more wacky color dyes than the red, green, or regular varieties. Perhaps color dyes of: orange, purple, brown, etc...

The filling of a "Pastry Burrito" would be: marsh mellow, cookie dough, various fruit jams (jellies), brownies, nougat, toffee, etc... Of course this twist on the Mexican cuisine can continue onto: quesadillas, enchiladas, or a mouth watering sweet chimichanga.

A good venue could be "Taco Bell" as a fast food restaurant chain if not served in a super mall food court.

Yes, I admit I have a sweet tooth but heck this is very unique and novel food dessert concept.

Visionary Prediction: Personal Vehicles Outlawed, Mass Transit Only

To spice things up on this blog site. I would like to toss out a forecast that i would see occurring in under the time frame of one generation or twenty years to come.

With the ever "global warming" apprehensions concerning man-made carbon emissions from fossil fuel usage. In a move by the larger developed industrial nations including the US, Europe, and certainly China. Personal automobiles will be outlawed as destructive to the environment. This will also certainly include recreational vehicles like: motorcycles, mopeds, ATVs, boats, perhaps yachts, and personal commuter aircraft.

The luxury of our generation of having these personal vehicles will be at times frowned upon. And also full of nostalgia for those that owned them in a generations time.

Mass transit will be the only venue of transportation be it: monorails, subways, trains, cruise lines, ferry ships, and airlines. Buses and vans may however also be outlawed due to the similar vehicle emissions to personal vehicles. There may be trains that handle the bulk of freight with semi-trucks also being a thing of the past.

However the government which includes the military armed forces will retain the right to use automobiles and other vehicles like tanks to conduct their business and to maintain order. Everyone else will be forced to use the mass transit grid which will be re-worked entirely. Due to our American interstate roadway system that is already very much aging and in disrepair.

If a capitalistic free market society still persists globally than expect mass transit services to range in quality of it's passengers. Similar to today's first class, business, and coach steerage based on economic affordability of its users. Where more ample space and amenities is afforded to the higher end consumer than those crammed in like sardines in coach steerage.

Since China, India, Brazil, and the rest of the developed nations of the world all concurrently living out the Western consumer lifestyle. Will inadvertently begin to choke out clean air quality standards to the point a catastrophe will force world governments and corporations to rework completely our transit systems.

This visionary prediction is seeming plausible as the years tick by under this duress with man-made carbon emissions.

Distress Singaling Concept: GPS Text Relay System (TARS)

Hello All,

Recently in the news certain western pacific States here in the US. Have been considering to make it mandatory that mountain climbers wear distress SOS beacons. Which often snow skiers or mountain climbers can often rent from certain ski resorts or outfitter shops.

My concept combines a text messaging system with a GPS enabled SOS beacon transponder. So in case of a hazard emergency for a skier or a mountaineer climber ensues. A hand cord pin can be pulled from the beacon transponder enabling a GPS alert SOS signal. However my conceptual device would add a "qwerty" keyboard to the transponder. Where simple text messages can be relayed Ala a SMS device. Or if typing is impossible due to the wearing of winter gloves. This transponder device can come with a touchscreen LCD screen in a flip top cover. Where a symbolic language of icons will denote certain modes of distress. Be it a: physical injury, which creates a sub-menu of icons of a: broken bone, frostbite, respiratory, etc...

So when the Air Force or Air Natural Guard is dispatched to a rescue site in poor weather or what not. This GPS SOS beacon transponder with an enabled "Text Relay System" (TARS) can direct EMT's or field medics to what injury conditions to expect. Much like how an ambulance driver relays to the hospital room ER whats the condition of the emergency patient.

Garment Industry Concept: Future Clothing Stores & Print On Demand Clothing

A few months ago I made a blog entry regarding the future vision I saw of an automated fast food restaurant with McDonald's as an example. Now I would like to present a probable future of a clothing store, lets say it's the "Gap" retail chain.

Picture customer body image scanners that are situated inside a clothing store. Looking something like a next generation body weight scale. But with laser scanners tracing an outline of your personal body proportions.

In this next generation clothing store there is very little if any generic clothing on the racks. All clothing of the future is fine tailored by these body scanners for your measurements. Due to the fact of "Print on Demand" clothing weavers that take your scanned body measurements and within a few minutes before your eyes makes your garment for you.

This "Print on Demand" clothing weaver isn't a typical present day horizontal machine. But one that is a vertical weaver and stitching of clothing swatches preloaded into the printer. Before it produces any clothing a instantly foam molded mannequin is created on the printer that represents your body shape. Be it a torso, legs, or a full body mannequin that can be later shredded by the machine to be recycled and used again on another future mannequin.

Once the clothing weaver has its model mannequin with your body shape and contours ready. It begins its precision guided rotations on the mannequin with robotic arms. That weave new garment pieces, if its a one piece garment. Or stitch's preloaded swatches of clothing together before your very eyes. In a circular clear shattered proof glass exterior within this vertical clothing weaver. The robotic arms can also do customer embroidery and also custom air jet dye painting of a piece of garment.

So a customer of the future in such a clothing store can be scanned by the body image scanners. Then before their very eyes witness a mannequin be created from recycled foam as their proxy. With the clothing weaved and created behind the circular glass enclosure as a sideline entertainment for a fascinated customer.

The customer before being scanned for their measurements chooses which apparel they want via a touch screen kiosk. Where they can browse the entire catalog of garments available. Or mix and match to create custom clothing on the spot with a marketing campaign of: "Be Your Own Fashion Designer".

This is what the future of apparel retailers can offer us all with immense selection coupled by cutting edge technology.

Game Design Concept: Npc Mob To Player Level Scaling

For those of you reading this blog entry I am an avid online gamer. Whom enjoys the past time of the MMO (massively multiplayer online) game genre. With all that stated I'll share and combine my other hobby of novel and visionary design aspects for creative solutions.

Currently in a MMORPG (role playing game) there are various stages of npc (non player character) entities that are driven by the game's AI (artificial intelligence). Where typically the npc mob (monster enemy creatures) are in various sets of level of difficulties in contrast to a themed arena of activity. When a player reaches this arena that is themed as a landmark pavilion of sorts. Often times the players level of achievement is often too low or too high in order to interact with said npc mob. This is why in the beginning stages of a player character development. The game designers create a series of themed landmark encounters that consist of a stylized chain of progression.

My idea is to scale the level of npc mob difficulty in conjunction to a player achievement level. So if a player starting themed area has a level one rat enemy npc mob encounter. It is often placed there for a similar player level range of 1-4 to be interacted with in a combat mode. Now taking my idea into consideration where for example a player of a superior level encounters this formerly level one rat. The npc mob scales itself to the range of player achievement level so as to increase re playability for a player in this formerly benign themed landmark.

So lets say a level 50 player wouldn't encounter a level 1 rat npc mob. But a rat npc mob of around a range of 47-50 difficulty level in contrast dynamically to the player level.

This will make former themed landmark game play arena's renewed in activity. For a player subscriber to a MMO game title. Hopefully extending the shelf life of the game's usage albeit adding increased difficulty. By removing tedious and boring area's that were formerly conquered already in game play.

Movies Presentation Concept: Movies Theaters Streamed Online

To date box office movie sales in the US are slumping with DVD sales and cable television pay per view and video on demand taking it's revenue share. Apple itself has debuted a Mac / PC Media hardware platform that allows video content to be streamed to a home Tv set calling it "Apple Tv". There is also the rental DVD market to be included like the Blockbuster and Netflix arch rivals duking it out to the top of the pack leader.

My concept is for bricks and mortar movie theater franchises to expand to the online arena. Not by downloaded movie's to a home computer or PC media center. But to be streamed via a proprietary media player that mimics a movie theater presentation in it's border frames and control console. Already Netflix has decided to host downloaded movies to it's customers, much like other companies like Cinema Now.

So if a movie theater chain like: Lowes, AMC, General Cinema, amongst others decides to showcase on their websites a streamed movie theater experience. That will undoubtedly increase their revenue streams outside from what they can only showcase in their bricks & mortar franchise locations. Much like the Blockbuster company trying to compete with Netflix in a recent advertising campaign. Showing the incentive of mailing DVD rentals to their customers whom they can drop off and rent more movies from their franchise locations.

Such is the case with movie theater companies opening a new front to online audiences in hosting streamed movie showcases. There of course can be cross-promotions to receiving discounts or other marketing pushes to buy the DVD version at a later point. If not merchandising of movie poster and other apparel and memorabilia sales with an e-commerce site by the movie chain's website.

This seems like a very novel expansion and logical next step for movie theater goers from the comfort of their home PC.
