For those who are green energy oriented this concept will be right up your wallet in savings. What if residental homes besides having some sort of septic tank buried in their backyards. Have a secondary water resvoir tank buried alongside their home. Where if a rain storm strikes all the run-off from their roof would drain into the buried water resvoir tank. Any excess water would either run-off back to the environment or could be perhaps sold off to the city or private interests.
Now consider this as the water is running off the property owners roof and as it enters the water resvoir tank. It will flow through a "water mill flipper", that would generate local electricity for the home owner being stored in a local battery for later use. Twice the savings in your water and electricity bill. The stored resvoir water can be used for flushing your toliets or it can be purified with a filteration system for personal cooking and drinking usage. If purified it can also be sold off like i mentioned above to the city or private water bottling companies.
Although a water bottling company can have such a system in place already but on an industrial scale.
However scaling back from any usage of the water resvoir system. A home owner could still use such a "water mill flipper" system to generate electricity. But instead of saving the water the flipper would be placed on the roof by the drainage pipe during a rain storm. Still a very favorable energy savings device, especially for those of us in tropical locales here in Florida.

Software Concept: A PC OS Strictly For PC Gamers
Hi All,
When each video game hardware console comes out it has it's own basic operating system. Where the game software does the rest for the menu's and other interface configurations.
What if a personal computer aside from the general one size fits all Windows operating system. Unless some other user is using open source Unix or Linux operating systems. Builds a OS strictly for PC gamers, whether it has features to play past DOS games of years ago. Or it supports a myriad of older video or sound card standards. Besides is tailored for the single, multiplayer, and online Internet gamer in it's features and applications. Including tools that help foster a guild (clan) in creation, management, and growth.
It can still contain second party IM (Instant Messager) software like X-Fire that is tailored for gamers. Or a Internet browser of choice be it FireFox or Internet Explorer.
Such a niche oriented operating system tailored to PC gamers. Will continue to induce vigor for the personal computer platform for game oriented developers & publishers. Since who's to say that this PC Gamers OS can be built by a game developer. Built by game developers for game developers and gamers alike.

Residential Homes Concept: Burrow Homes In Tornado Alley USA
Hi All,
Recently in the US news there has been a few freak tornado touch downs killing residents. Besides the customary destruction of property like toy building blocks being scattered to the winds literally.
Humanity has a nasty habit or a death wish to habitat areas that are inherently fraught with peril. Than we go "ooo ahhh" when unfortunately such vicinities get mowed down by mother nature. This is not to say we have not learned from such disasters to make stronger housing construction. But we rebuild in those same areas usually as a "double dare" to mother nature.
What I propose is radical and innovative in approach to have residential dwellings buried in the ground much like the tornado shelters are presently. Present tornado shelters are usually concrete block burrowed into the ground akin to a basement. However they have a storm shutter clasp shut entrance doorway, possibly made of: steel, aluminum or wood.
Taking this preliminary model and converting a residential structure to be below ground. With either a hydraulic ramp for vehicle entry way with a sliding shut screen much like a garage door over the entire property. (permitting proper ventilation) There is also a ramp like walkway to the surface from the homes front door.
Currently typical homes that are fitted with a "Geothermal" system to reduce heating and cooling costs year round. Which is a couple of shafts by a home and underneath it. Where during the summer the dug out shafts help cool the home without need of an AC. Or heat the home during the winter again without the need of a central or detached heating system. (much less heating oil)
So these burrow homes in tornado alley USA would have green energy savings built into the structure using geothermal technology. The garage door like screen that secures the home can also be fitted with solar panels to further reduce residential electricity usage.
These "burrow homes" would be moreso accessible than those present day bunker capsulated tanks that are pre-built and dug into an existing property as an emergency personal shelter. Since the burrow home is beneath the ground with sufficient room for a family vehicle or two. Including perhaps a multi-level property and an inverted building into the ground for the more affluent.
A Burrow Home is ideal when tornado season is in full swing. So if God forbid a tornado strikes all properties struck above ground become match sticks. A Burrow Home may have it's covering screen sucked out possibly if it isn't anchored or angled sufficiently. But I suspect the rest of the buried property should be safe and sound.

America's Proverty Prediction / Rant / Concept: Non-Profit Commune Homes
Hello All,
How uneasy it must feel that America is losing it's super power status before our very eyes. Capitalists without a moral framework have sold-out America chasing their profits without thinking through the long-term consequences. Our government isn't in a better situation neither, their stance is to appease those in power outside of government. And that does not mean "We The People", that traditional ethos has been compromised for lower ideals.
With that political outrage put aside, where through out the 20th century the ideals and corporations that kept America proud are ebbing away. This new century is returning gradually the super power status to the old Far East. Where once they had that mantle thousands of years ago and it is returning to them before our eyes.
America for its part will slip into a industrial Power mode like many Western European nations in the next generation of twenty to twenty five years from now. America has two roads it can take, one of greater policy reform that is of a morale foundation such as universal healthcare. Or it can go further headlong into corporate power capitalism where only growth and profit is sacred.
If the latter is chosen where government becomes vunerable due to it's revenue coffers from taxes and other capital funds run dry. Expect to see multi-national corporations to seize greater power in US government. Since of their potential to unify numerous corporations into a hybrid union with government. Expect a United Nations model for the most powerful multi-national corporations where democracy will be least on their collective minds. Corporate Imperialism will be on the rise during those potential darker days of America. Since in their day a generation ago America of "We The People" was soldout by the minority power brokers.
The American poverty class will replace the former majority middle class. Where 10% of the wealthiest in America which may very well come from abroad. Will be the current puppet master of this hybrid Imperial corporate government model in America.
Any remaining middle class will emmigrat and leave their homeland of America. Where Asia & Australia will mostly will be the new countries to receive the huddled masses that are improvished economically. They will no longer flock to America nor to Europe, since the wealth of these nation States has long since ebbed away.
Where during the days of the late 20th century and early 21th century that the nuclear family had become nomadic. Due to enmasse poverty expect the nuclear family, including extended family proximity to return akin to America's 19th century tendencies.
To economically survive families and selective groups may opt for the "Commune Home" non-profit entity model. Where as a non-profit or not for profit corporate entity model families and selective groups will pool their financial resources into a commune living environment. Sorta like those on University campuses at a fraternity or sorority order.
Such "Commune Homes" will have certain protections and requirements so as to maintain a proper non-profit commune living. The requirements may be to retain an accountant, estate lawyer, or some other financial planner to keep the collective incomes coming and keep the commune solvent. The protections could be forms of insurance due to fraud, internal theft and the like of the communes property and liquid incomes.
Back to present day we're having in America, Europe and Japan children in their late 20's returning home due to financial hardship. The traditional jobs and college educated days are defunct due to cheap labor overseas. The service and hospitality industries are the ones burgeoning today since such jobs can not be off-shored. (unless foreign cheaper labor under contract is brought in to fill them, much like on cruise ships)
Such boomer rang kids will come full circle where parents themselves can not afford to retire. Where teenage type jobs of a decade or so ago will go more to senior citizens that do not retire. Job displacement of demographics of age groups will only expand due to a shrinking middle class in America. America if it continues like this for another generation will have a seritude work force. Where unlike Americans traveling abroad due to a strong dollar in foreign countries during the late 20th century and early 21th century. The reverse will occur foreigners with strong currencies will travel to America for a cheap traveling abroad for their interests.

Lending Library Concept: Public Library of Tomorrow

Borrowing heavily from the last concept franchise business model below on digital media content. Imagine a public library of tomorrow where no books, music tapes, or VHS / DVD movies can be lent out. Instead much like the current mp3 subscription music sites the content is rented and can not be owned. This public library allows citizens with a smart library member card to download content to a flash media disc.
The digital content on this flash media times out where after a set date upon next usage the content becomes unreadable or deletes itself. Public library members can still view the full content at viewing tables that are tied into the local data center of the library. All content to their datacenter gets updated daily, be it from worldwide newspapers or other forms of content.
So instead of a present day public library seeking certain book bound volume sets. Or other prestigious annually updated journals, newsletters, magazines, catalogs, etc... All of this can be available in digital form, especially for rural community public libraries.

As some of you may know that I'm inclined into enterprising business models. Including those that are unique and lucrative in design and opportunity. With that said the: book store, music record store, and video store of tomorrow can be available today.
What's stopping us is an individual(s) with capital, talent, and vision to see this opportunity through to finality. Picture a small store outlet with a kiosk type of data center that could have streamed all digital content of print, music, videos. Where like a vending machine can burn a customer copy of the digital content selected by the consumer. The customer can receive the content on various sizes of Flash media discs or present day DVD burnable discs. Customers can be charged per selection or memory size of the download they had purchased.
Aside from this vending machine kiosk, there can be three oval viewing tables at such a franchise store outlet. One oval table can be for print media viewing, another oval table for music listening, and the third table for video viewing of potential content to be purchased. When the oval tables aren't used for viewing digital media content they can be rented out for Internet cafe usage. As a form of secondary residual income to the franchise store outlet.
To avoid potential customers just sitting at the oval table sucking up viewing time. Consumers are only allotted to getting a "sneak preview" of the digital media content. So if interested they can purchase the whole content for later consumption.
The deal for the main franchise owners is to get all the licensing rights out of the way. Much like Apple has done at I-Tunes for music and such digital media. There would need to be book publishers signed up, record labels, and movie studios, if not game publishers likewise.

MMO Game Theme Concept: A MMORPG On GhostBusters!
Hello Readers,
The online massively multiplayer genre of games have experienced to date genres in mostly fantasy and science fiction. With no MMO genres of horror, historical, or comedy (unless you count Disney's Toon Town) as one would find in single player game titles.
We are awash in numerous entertainment brands that are ripe for cross-over into an MMO game title. However with that noted, launching an MMO game isn't for the faint of heart or cheap on funding neither.
With that said how many of you would enjoy a MMO game title based on a comedy genre?
Well how about "GhostBusters"?
Just picture a MMO game title where the hordes of ghosts return to Gotham City (New York City). Where our former intrepid hero's from the original two films have sold off their franchise business. The ghosts and demons seem to settle down, then all of a sudden another biblical climax stirs in Gotham.
This time you the gamer enlist into one of these numerous franchise businesses to hunt or perhaps be hunted by the ghosts and demons of lore using New York City as a portal entrance into our world. The ghosts & demons could be strictly Npc's (non player characters), although to spice things up perhaps randomly selected ghost hunters could become ghosts themselves as a player character race.
However many elements of comedy need to be infused into such an adventure / action MMO game title. Perhaps the hunting tactics of the ghostbusters can use old Baldville like hijinks to cajorole the ghosts into the traps. The questing system can include hilarious dialogue to continue to set the theme of a comedy MMO. Including numerous zany and whacky sound effects to prepare the gamer into such a crazy world.
Of course npc's modeled after the films hero's can be created. Where their voices from the films or additional voice sessions can be captured for this MMO game title.

Currently the retail model for the majority of online games is one buys a boxed packaged game software. And then opens an account with the game publisher for that particular MMO game with a fee based subscription. However lately there has been more direct downloads to consumers of these MMO games. Skipping entirely the costly wholesale to retail store distribution and marketing line of software games. Each step of that distribution line more profits (revenues) get diverted from the game developer and publisher.
What if instead of either purchasing an MMO game title in a retail store. By continuing this trend of direct downloads from the game publisher for a subscription to the MMO. But instead of charging for the entire game upfront which often includes a free month of game play. Give the consumer the option to purchase the game via "Installments". So as with each month they pay their subscriber dues, another $5 dollars is added to their fee. This can be repeated each month or quarterly basis until the game is fully paid off.
Of course if a customer under this game payment and monthly subscriber model cancels his/her game account. They would fully owe any remaining monies that are unpaid in full for the game software. This may also include a "penalty fee" as well if a game publisher wants to jab a consumer as well.
So whether a MMO game subscriber pays monthly or quarterly (yearly subscribers don't count, unless you give them the game outright for free for a yearly fully paid up front subscription) the game publisher can expect an additional residual revenue stream of income. If choosing this payment model for an MMO game account subscriber.

Amusement Park Concept: Project Name "Epic Dream Parks"
Hello All,
What I'm about to share in abstract form is a great love of mine that as an individual I can not ever fathom to give life by myself. So I share this ambitious concept with anyone or corporation willingly to run wild with this bold plan with cajones. This spark of an idea was given to my by God's Holy Spirit like a lightening bolt of an "Ah Ha" idea. That was four or so years ago which I have added additional details to so as to expound on this concept. I even plugged it in a couple of forum sites, one notably at the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) a couple of years back.
What this concept is what Walt Disney is to MMORPG's is to an MMO Theme Amusement Park. (MMO stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Games) The code name of this concept is "Epic Dream Parks" (EDP), since there has been nothing like it before in reality.
Where not too much unlike a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) via the internet. There would be a MMORPG as an themed amusement park. Of course the EDP model can be takened to the "Resort" level like in the late 1970's movie with Yul Brenner "West World". (Which I hear in the Hollywood grapevine there is a remake in the works). If a resort or amusement park setting is too much for a proof of concept model. Than as a shopping mall pavilion like in something of "Mall of the Americas" in Minnesota for example.
If I were the project designer which I lack serious real world creditals for to begin with. But I can see the vision as if it were alive and clarity is a strength. I would first launch a MMORPG online and allow it to stabilize, if not take an existing online game world like "EverQuest 2" for an example. Then build a phase 1 themed bricks & mortar amusement park of the EverQuest brand.
How the park patrons / customers would interact with the parks gameplay is via a wrist band PDA set up. The park would have as needed cellular towers for the closed network of wireless interconnectivity.
Now picture something like a super arcade crossed between a EPCOT pavilion they have in Orlando as a themed showcase site. Let's say that a small complex of pavilion buildings would be Qeynos ala the good city of Everquest lore. Inside these buildings would be play zones where the walls have either large LCD screens or that thin film screens that would layer the walls. Coursing through these displays would be the identical game world that home online users would experience via game play.
Other sections of this Qeynos pavilion would be the crafting and trade markets. Where via kiosks players can craft virtual wares for the trade market etc... There would be gift shops, restaurants from the fast food to gourmet variety just like EPCOT.
The kicker is what is considered now as the gamer underground secondary black market of trading virtual game items and accounts. In this EDP showcase it would be considered common. Much like how SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) has embraced their "Station Exchange" of such item and accounts auction site.
Park patrons can purchase game currency before entering the park that has an exchange rate to the US dollar. (much like Second Life or Project Entropia MMO's) Or if the park patrons have home online EverQuest 2 accounts can continue using their avatars in the EDP model.
There can be clothing gift shops where park patrons can purchase or rent period EverQuest clothing as a costume for their park enjoyment. Besides the EDP model would have a conference center of their own to host their yearly festivals of the online game itself. Which the larger MMORPG's host each year at various locations mostly in the West Coast of the USA.
That is just a short birds eye view of what I can envision for this "Epic Dream Park" system. In the later weeks to come I'll share more specific amendments to this suggested project.

Book Review: Radical Careering by: Sally Hogshead.
Hello All,
I rarely do this, albeit this entry would be considered my first book review ever. The reason why I'm reviewing this book is because plainly I enjoyed it. With that said I'm biased for quotations, especially those that offer unconditional truth & wisdom.
Such is the book titled "Radical Careering" by: Sally Hogshead published by Gotham Books a division of Penguin Group (USA) Inc.
What is this book all about and what makes it different about any other book in this genre? Well this book offers 100 quotations in motivating individuals in their careers to clear their dust bunnies. It also offers interweaved an opinion poll they conducted to gauge those readers reflection of what they want out of their careers.
The book is written in not a classical cover to cover book with quotations. But a web format with gotcha pictures and a quote with a brief summary. Sprinkled in there are the results of the this opinion poll that is also intergrated with 19 micro websites to reinforce the reflection of Sally's quotations of " get up and go mentality".
Out of 5 stars I'll offer a 3.5 stars since this I suspect is a first book in a series of more to come. Ala the "Chicken Soup of the Soul" books done a decade ago or so.

Screensaver Product Concept: Looping Video
Hi All,
My product concept for screensavers here isn't that "fish tank" animation that loops constantly. It is an application tool for a screensaver yet to come (I'm no coder) that allows video to run in loops. Note this concept is for retail purposes as another type of gimmick to enhance the sales of screensaver bundled software. Of course knowing the culture of the Net someone can do this for free distribution.
So for instance what type of video looping is right for this screensaver? Well how about rolling waves on a sunny tropical beach, perhaps include the sounds of the waves. Or for those with families take out a clip of a home movie with the kids and wife. Or for gamers to create a video loop of a blooper in-game of guildmates. LOL For movie fans to create a screensaver loop where Darth Vader constantly says he's "Your Father". :o)
Get the idea, I have yet to see something of this nature for retail sales.

Television Feature Concept: Sound Equalizer
Hi All,
Ok I'm assuming this TV feature isn't on any known brand to date. If it is please point it out to me with my full appreciation. Since I still lack those fancy LCD, HD, or Plasma TV's at home. I'm assuming their features base is similar to the older CRT's.
My suggestion is rather simple since how many times while surfing TV channels you notice the volume jumping around, sometimes drastically by scaring you for a moment. Well this TV sound feature would easily balance out that eratic tendency in all televisions. Where the TV owner manually sets a volume sound that is pleasing to him/her. After that the TV will seek out that volume setting whilst the viewer is surfing TV channels.
So for example the moment I switch to one of these crazy volume channels. I would see the volume bar at the bottom of my screen automatically equalize the volume to my manually selected position.
That's it.

Urban Disaster Prevention System Concept
Hello Everyone,
Perhaps in my own way in following the recent mega natural / man made disaster of the US Gulf Coast region. I have a suggested concept to offer up that in no way is a cure all. I also offer my deepest sincere remorse in how there was a lack of cohesive execution of the disaster relief plan by all parties involved. Alas this is "Tombstone Technology" at its worst, but still America is known for its innovative approach to surmount climatic challenges to the human condition. And this to will be licked and hopefully during our collective lifetimes.
Now onto my suggested Urban Disaster Prevention System. In no particular order:

- For those citizens who are able bodied be required to enlist into a citizen volunteer corps as humanitarian workers. Be it as first preventers, first responders, or other auxiliary compassionate aid workers during a local disaster.
- For those citizens that qualify due to proverty conditions to be granted an "allowance" package or waiver. Where they can fill up their car with a tank of gasoline or purchase disaster relief supplies. Much like the "WIC" program where newborn mothers are provided with a type of food stamp program for infants formula for nutrition or other needs for infants. This "allowance" program could be administered by local human service agencies of the needy.
- Similar to the allowance program for the disadvantaged there can be a Federally or State government mandated "Disaster Kit" for every adult citizen. It would be something akin like the State of Israel provided "gas masks" to its citizenry during the first Gulf War. Due to suspected fears of Saddems SCUD missile attacks delivering a chemical or biological attack to Israel. In this case it would be required that all US Citizens be provided with a government mandated and approved all purpose disaster relief kit. Whether if it is provided at no charge or paid for by each citizen. There would be mandated certification classes for all citizens in the use of such a all purpose disaster relief kit.
- For urban & suburban city planners to create neighborhood bunkers for disasters. The current school districts in America are often burdened with this responsibility. Which is like doing something backwards as a band-aid solution. What I'm suggesting is more in line with America's "Duck & Cover" days of urban bunkers during the early cold war. Where easily reachable urban bunkers for a certain capacity of citizenry to use during a natural or man made disaster. Whether such installations are above or below ground is up to the city planners. Such bunkers would include a: medical clinic, caches of food stuffs (that are up to date), and assorted needed supplies for a capacity suitable for a neighborhood population for the short to mid-term. Aka a mini decentralized self-sufficient village within a city of need be for such dire civil emergencies.
- In line with a metropolitan bunker network for city residents. To include any major military bases in the vicinity of a major city as the back-up city government during a disaster. Besides command & control coordination relief there would be the launch point for all humanitarian aid. Including law enforcement assistance doing major civil disobedience following a disaster. If no large military installation is nearby a major city. Then a adhoc para-military civilian government installation should be built to facilitate such a service to the burgeoning metropolitan region for emergency uses.
- To contract with mass transit providers, be it the local bus system or airlines / cruise ships or chartered bus services. That in the very likely case of a imminent disaster that when a mandatory evacuation order is issued. As many of the locally affected citizenry are to be evacuated and ferried out of harms way. To be housed in available motels that are also contracted by either the State or Federal governments. Whilst the threat of a disaster passes from their regional vicinity.
Finally when a mandatory evacuation order is issued in expectation of a disaster. That it is enforced or be arrested by local authorities. Since for those citizens who are either ignorant or fool hardy that stay behind during a natural or man made disaster. Later on put themselves in jeopardy including any first responders who have to rescue them afterwards. Which compounds the risk for both the victim and the rescuer.
Those are my suggested proposals for a potential disaster relief program many municipalities could consider in light of the rude awakening that Hurricane Katrina has offered America as of now.

MMO Game Feature Concept & Prediction: MMO In-game Cable TV
Hi All,
This suggested concept is wrapped into a probable prediction of the future of online games. Right now advertising inside online game worlds is occurring inside Anarchy Online free client version and the paid portion of Planetside. Eventually advertising inside MMOG game worlds will give way from billboards within the context of the game theme. To replacing those billboard channel outlets in-game to cable television outlets. Probably in the same spots where the billboards were placed previously in some cases. Point in fact like the space billboards placed by the stargates in Eve-Online.
Imagine a game publisher entering into a contract with a national cable Tv provider. Where like in busy US airports you see those short Tv spots of news blaring inside the gift shops & food court areas. Now picture inside the game world of Everquest 2 which is a fantasy setting. Where inside a npc tavern there is a magic portal that is actually the outlet of the Cable Tv channel in-game. Typically npc taverns are only used as quest areas and are almost always dead in activity inside.
Now picture Comcast cable Tv providing SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) live cable feeds to selected channels. Perhaps how they have a similar contract with hotel chains & resorts. Where "Headline News" in it's 30 minute spots plays in one locale inside the game world. Another could have a Tv Guide like informercial channel playing all the time.
There could be amphi-theaters inside a game world where certain real world concerts as a special event is showcased. Maybe an exclusive with a certain music concert or sports event to subscribers of this game world.
Do note inside these game worlds there is no "Tivo" (DVR's). So players inside these MMO game worlds can not fast forward past ads or cable Tv programming. They would be a hostage to the cable Tv ads in-game akin to pre-Tivo days. Since the Nielsen rating system is already stating that a lot of 18 to 34 year olds are watching less television and playing more electronic games. This concept & prediction would recapture these demographic groups outright. Ala being lassoed cowboy style as a consumer base that is now stampeding away.

Advertising Concept: Local TV Ads On Scrolling Marquee
Hello,
This concept is borrowed from the cable news broadcasters. Where they have that horizontal scrolling marquee with text news of the day by category. My spin on the scrolling marquee would include additional advertising space also in text. But for local television ad spots during a commercial break. So whilst the cable provider is displaying national commercial advertising. The marquee would display local TV ads to the audience.
Of course the costs of such advertising would be drastically cheaper than a fully produced studio quality commercial. The marquee ads can include promotional codes for consumers to use to redeem during a purchase.

This suggested concept is to further expand the canon of available emote icons on the Internet forum boards and chat rooms. Instead of comical mood emotes displaying an emotion. To include an additional subset of emote icons to display acronym messages. Such as: Ty, Yw, Gg, Wtg, Hagd, Ttfn, Omg, Lol, etc...
The current emote icons of the Internet and this suggestion could be combined. For instance a emote mood with a sign above its head stating "Gg" (Good going). Or something of the kind to extend the statement of the emote icon.

Game Industry Concept: MMO Avatar Rentals
Hello All,
In a recent column of "road to nowhere" in the September 2005 issue of Computer Games magazine writtened by "Cindy Yans". In an article titled "Rent-a-'Tar", discussing the concept of the secondary gamers market of selling or in this case the rental of a avatar game account.
This let sparks in the good sense fly in my minds eye. With admission I do have business tendencies that could classify me in gamers terms as at least a hybrid suit. (part business minded and part gamer) With that disclaimer aside allow me to explain a potentially different presentation of such a rental avatar service than what Cindy Yan spoke of in her column. My suggested concept on this spin of MMO avatar game rentals would include the game publisher from the start. And, not such a version as wholly presented by "Gamepal".
Here we go, those of you who may have played UO (Ultima Online) by Origin Systems owned by EA (Electronic Arts). May remember a service they offered of a souped of avatar that isn't a noob in level and skills. Now take for instance a game publisher like SOE (Sony Online Entertainment), which is embracing now the secondary market of game currency, item, and avatar sales in their "Station Exchange". Via their MMORPG of EQ2 (EverQuest 2), where SOE would offer the rental of their game avatars at various price tiers. Whether the avatar is at level 10 or tricked out in class & skills at level 50. (higher rental fee)
So for a casual gamer who isn't interested in their trial version of EQ2. Or a former EQ2 subscriber that cancelled the game a while ago. May wish to return to perhaps sample the game world with their new action pack or expansion. Then there are two routes on how to get the game client installed on the consumer renters computer. One is to go the "NetFlix" way where they rent the game client and return the DVD-ROM afterwards by snail mail. Or have the game client streamed into their PC system for the allotted time of their avatar rental.
The gamer renter of this MMO title can have a on the fly character rolled during their rental period, Including naming it if they so wished. If the renter tried EQ2 and enjoyed it they have the option to upgrade their account to a full subscriber. Or if the renter liked EQ2, but allowed their rental period to elapse their avatar would be their if they ever chose to rent a toon again in EQ2. That's how a game publisher could go about it this way.
Also, let's say that a full subscriber has cancelled their game account. SOE could make the offer to buy their game avatar(s) at a wholesale price. Where they credit the former full subscriber with a gift card, merchandise, or a game title, maybe even cash. Then SOE in turn offers these as avatar rentals to others with all gear on the toon. (at a premium price according to the gear)

Now this is how a EQ2 game subscriber could go about it when SOE would allow such rentals but by the players. Picture the SOE Station Exchange where a full game subscriber can take one of their avatars on a server and rent it out. Whilst still maintaining their account in gameplay. The avatar that is spun off goes into escrow. Where the renter gets a surrogate account for the duration of their rental period. The player that spun off a avatar since full subscribers can have up to 8 avatars per account. Would be the one responsible in it's upkeep in leveling and what not.
SOE gets their regular 10% for the rental fee for each time the toon is rented. Including the listing fee that Station Exchange requires for listing a auction. The renter would get a limited download of the game client much like these limited Mp3 playback sites. Where after a period of time the game client deletes itself or needs an additional activation key for the next rental period.
This would mean a residual income for the full subscriber and the game publisher.

Commentary Prediction: VOD & MOD Concept

Let me go out on a limb here for the first time to state that VOD (Video on Demand) which is right around the corner nationally in the USA. Will also in one to three years include theatrical movie releases in part for this cable TV service. Right now in the media industry there is a term I've heard for the first time called a "Super Release".
Where a movie theater release would happen simultaneously on DVD and perhaps cable TV as pay per view. The reason being that movie box office sales are shrinking due to DVD sales and pirated movie downloads. So my prediction of a VOD super release of movies on cable TV wouldn't be much of a stretch within the time frame of one to three years from now.
Then there would be MOD's (a term I'm making up I guess), which would be like VOD. But, to include it as "Music On Demand" (MOD). Where as the recent "Live 8" concerts that sorta tanked in attracting attention upon release. Could much like a VOD service have a catalog of either music videos (audio's too), including concerts to be pulled up for viewing by the subscriber.
So picture MTV, VH-1, Music Choice having a MOD service for cable TV subscribers. That pull up on demand without any additional fee's a favorite album in audio (or a single track). A music video or concert under various search parameters much like a cable on-screen guide provides today.

Candy Concept: Booger Yum Yum's

This concept is for a candy directed to children under the age of 12. Demographically to be boy's as a breath mint something like a tic tac. But, in the shape of small pieces of snot (mucus) with either just a plain sugary flavor in a lime green color. Or go with a rainbow effect of colors but with mixed flavors, such as: red hot's, sours, cinnamon, winter fresh, etc... To be packaged similarly to a plastic nose, where the snot candy comes out of the nostrils.
Something similar can be done with the same candy that are "gummy worms". But, in lime green to mimic mucus as a chewy candy.
I know this sounds gross and juvenile, but it's a candy for young kids. :p

Gems of Opportunity: Musical Instrument Concept: Electronic Keyboard For The Blind & Deaf
Hello All,
This is one of my older concepts gathering dust in a notebook from years ago. Which it would bring joy to my eyes to see something like this so that those handicapped by blindness and deaf can play music we all can enjoy. (besides fulfilling the mission of this blog site)
Many of you will be scratching your heads saying "huh?". A musical instrument for a blind and deaf person to write or play existing keyboard music. Well, the suggested solution is very simple really. Besides converting a musical instrument like an electronic keyboard with Braille keys. Have the keys for the deaf have a kinetic type of force feedback haptic pressure. Where each musical key in relation to its sound would have a different sense of pressure to the key. Somehow wiring an air-pump with an electronic musical keyboard with Braille keys.
So that a blind or deaf person can play music at least on a piano-like instrument. The musical tones coming out of the device can still be the same so everyone can enjoy the music. Otherwise, if air pressure isn't a suitable method for such a musical instrument. It could employ a decibel vibration to each key so that the blind or deaf musician can actually feel the music they're playing.
Where in the case of a decibel vibration method to an electronic keyboard. The output of the music can be toggled from traditional sound to include a form of music based on decibel vibrations acoustically speaking.

MMO Game Feature Concept: Pogo.com Like Game Parlor In A MMORPG

Right now game publishers via their game development firms for a massively multiplayer online game (MMOG). Are always evolving their game features and design policy for any particular game of interest.
Lately now that there is a plethora of MMO game titles out in the western marketplace. They've already reached capacity of targeting the traditional demographic of male gamers. Be they teenage, young adult, and now thirty somethings as the main consumer base for these online games.
Now they're looking for the casual gamer who is either a new comer (noob) to the hobby. Or is a pre-existing gamer that can not quantify pouring 20+ plus hours a week into this past-time. (which has traditionally in the late 20th century been TV weekly viewing time) Besides the casual gamer demographic, the game industry wants to further include women and senior citizens as auxiliary demographics to obtain.
Ok, now that I've set up the concept so to say. If game development firms of a MMO goes to the extent in their game world design. To include the depth of arcade java parlor games as seen in Pogo.com (owned by game publisher Electronic Arts). Where for example in Star Wars Galaxies or Ever Quest 2 (published MMORPG's by Sony Online Entertainment / SOE) in a cantina / tavern (lodge) inside the game world. That gamers can enter and participate perhaps in a co-branded portal like Pogo with the game setting maintained. That would open up interest to causal gamers, women, and senior citizens into the MMO hobby as a demograhic group. Especially with the present advent of "Advergaming", which is a mini-game that is branded by a advertiser. So consider a solitaire game with the Pepsi logo and such.
Typically to date in a MMO game world the SWG cantina or EQ2 Travern are traditional ghost locations. Meaning only npc's (non-player characters) for quests are inhabiting them for a game play experience. SWG did in the past before I gave up on that MMO have a text-based roulette game in a hotel lobby of the major npc cities.
That has been the typical lack of vision in bringing to life such real life historical focal points of a community. But, in a MMO game world these locales are still neglected as described above. My suggestion is to enliven these landmarks in a npc or player city. So that more demographic based consumers can enjoy the MMO past-time. Which has always been referred to as a game. That in my opinion is a misnomer, it is more so a virtual social community simulator.

Insurance Concept: Homeowner ARM Insurance Policy
Hi All,
Right now here in the USA we're in a real estate bubble not unlike the tech bubble in the late 1990's. Right now their is a an exotic (Greenspan's term, US Fed Chairman) mortgage type of interest only loan. For the first couple of years or so, where the home buyer can pay down principle at their discretion or wait until the cut off date to do so. Where typically a ballon payment begins on these interest only mortgages. So the word of advice is usually just to get these lucrative interest only home mortgages if you don't plan to live in that residential property beyond two to five years or so.
When and if the real estate bubble does burst, where now we're in a sellers market. Those with an ARM (adjustable rate mortage) who want to sell their property after a real estate bubble bursting will lose their shirts. Since no one will be buying, lest at closer to wholesale prices and not what the previous owner paid for their property. This will be more so a renters market after a real estate bubble bursting.
But to digress to the insurance concept I'm suggesting is for the insurance industry for homeowners. To offer those with an interest only (ARM) mortage a side homeowners policy. Usually as the norm banks as the lender have the homeowner required to have a "mortgage insurance" policy. Just in case if they default on their mortgage payments. Where the bank or lender gets the property known as a foreclosure.
My suggestion to the insurance industry is to offer a ARM mortage policy to the home owner. Where much like a disability insurance if they lose their income or what have you. Aren't thrown out into the streets. However this incurance policy concept would cover an existing ARM type mortgage. That would cover the home owners mortgage payment fully in a lump sum or in installments. Where the homeowner keeps the property unlike a regular mortage insurance policy as explained above.
Of course this ARM insurance policy for home owners would provide a structure so as to avoid fraud in claims.

Here are my latest two spiritual quotations penned by my very own hand. Note the number in the series, which i'm shooting for 740 quotes written by myself. Where the first 365 quotations & commentry would go into a hopeful and eventual manuscript. So these two quotes for tonight would go perhaps into manuscript #2.

Product Concept: Taser Protection Vest
Hi All,
My latest product abstract concept would be a taser protection vest. Lately in the news http://www.taser.com/index.htm "Taser International" wants to cater to consumers for its non-lethal electrical barbed gun.
My idea is to offer a vest to protect would be victims, much like a kevlar bullet proof vest. But this taser protection vest would spread the taser charge across itself. Or even better it would return the charge from the taser by overloading it and causing it to explode on the attacker.
Note: Recently in the US news ( a couple of months ago) in Miami Florida police had used tasers on children. Although they had some burns from the taser due to not being the ideal weight for being a target.

Welcome to my humble blog site which I hope you find as intriguing as I enjoy to write in it. The theme of my blog will be the postings of my spiritual quotations of a yet undeveloped manuscript. But that's not all.
I will also relish the opportunity to share my musings. Which I call personally "Imagineering" that includes a holistic viewpoint of possible abstract solutions of anything that may interest me in the moment.
